Something big is happening in June — and a GravoLAB mold will be right at the centre of it.
A GravoLAB-engineered mold will be running in the world premiere live demonstration of the FXL1000 — the largest steel rule thermoforming machine ever built. The demonstration will take place at WM’s Open House in Stabio, Switzerland, on 8 and 10 June 2026, just ahead of and during the opening days of PLAST 2026, the most important international plastics exhibition in Europe.

The FXL1000 is not a small step forward — it is a statement. With a forming area of 1,060 × 940 mm, a forming force of 60 tons, a cutting force of 105 tons, and cycle speeds up to 22% faster than comparable machines in its class, this is thermoforming pushed to a new frontier.
And when the FXL1000 runs live, in front of customers and partners from around the world, it will be a GravoLAB mold — producing PET trays — making it happen.
A World Premiere, Seen Up Close
The WM Open House brings together thermoforming professionals who want more than a trade show experience. Held directly at WM’s production facility in Stabio — just a short drive from Fiera Milano, where PLAST 2026 runs from 9 to 12 June — the event offers something rare: a world-class machine running under real production conditions, not exhibition mode.
Visitors attending the Open House will be able to see exactly what precision tooling looks like when the pressure is on and the cycles are real.
